The Montgomery County Commission is set to discuss the budget.
At yesterday's commission meeting in Independence, commissioners Robert Bever, Mike Cordray, and Jim McManus agreed to discuss the budget for the upcoming year at a meeting set for September 18th. Montgomery County Financial Officer Fred Gress says the county plans to remain under the revenue neutral rate.
Other business discussed at the meeting included approval for the purchase of new tactical vests for new hires at the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department and new and continuing projects currently underway from Public Works.
