Residents in Fredonia will be able to toss out their unwanted trash starting this Friday.

 Fredonia Fall Clean Up runs from September 8 through 15. Any unwanted trash, rubbish, e-waste, or recyclables can be set out for pick up by the city during those dates. Pick up will be on your regularly scheduled trash days. Residents can take advantage of a city dumpster or dump truck by contacting the city shop at 620-378-3161 ext 1. Leave a message including your name and contact number.

Rules for Cleanup week:

• • Absolutely no tires

  • Pick up is on your regular trash day

  • Materials must be separated

  • household trash in dumpster by itself

  • Brush should be separate from lumber

  • Leaves should be bagged and separate from lumber and brush

  • Furniture should be placed in alley or by normal pick up

  • Large appliances are to be placed at normal pick up, taken to Recycle Center, or placed by Roll off

  • No building material in dumpsters (carpet and padding are to be with building materials)

  • If metal is in dump truck, ONLY metal is allowed

  • Do not pile brush on gas meters

  • If construction materials are in dump truck, ONLY construction materials are allowed

  • Brush and leaves will be collected on the second week

  • NO USED OIL

  • If taking brush to the Limb yard, NO dumping trash of any sort. ONLY tree and brush are allowed at the Limb yard. Violators will be prosecuted for illegal dumping

  • The city will not pickup mixed items. Please separate as listed
