The old saying for something that rarely happens is “Once in a blue moon,” so for those who want to do something not-so-often, tomorrow is the day.
Tomorrow night will be the last Super Blue Moon until January 2037. Ron Mallory of Kansas Astronomical Observers says it is a fairly rare phenomenon. The full moon will be visible tonight through Friday and will be at its peak tomorrow night. Mallory says you don't need fancy equipment to enjoy the sight. The planet Saturn will also be visible to the upper right of the Moon and will follow a path around it during the night.
