The Coffeyville City Commission votes to establish a Director of Public Safety Services position. City Manager Mark Hall says this is a position that was at one time established in the city.

Despite some questioning by a citizen of the need for this position, the commission voted unanimously to establish it. Police Chief Kwin Bromley will serve in this role in addition to being the chief of police.

In other business, the commission approved the 2023-2024 budget and voted to exceed the revenue neutral rate. The commission also heard from several citizens in regard to being overcharged on their utility bills.
