The budget for fiscal year 2024 is set for the city of Caney.
City Administrator Kelley Zellner says city leaders wanted to stay at the revenue neutral rate, especially with increases taking place in utilities. He says staying in revenue neutral helps property owners in Caney.
Zellner says the city continues to move toward a single source water system, and information given in the next meeting will show why moving away from the current water structure system is necessary.
Due to the Labor Day holiday, Caney's next City Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5th.
