Rural firefighters in Sycamore may soon have more room to move.

 At yesterday's meeting, the Montgomery County Commission gave their approval for the county to seek bids to build an addition to the rural fire department in Sycamore. Emergency Manager Rick Whitson says the fire department could use the extra room.

The commission approved the measure to begin seeking bids by a unanimous vote. Other business approved by the commission includes approval of a work force grant for the county health department and a summary of road construction projects by the department of public works.
