Heat Records Tied and Broken Across Kansas and Oklahoma

 The record temperatures continue to scorch Oklahoma and Kansas.

 According to the Miami Mesomet, yesterday was a record-breaking day as the city of Miami broke the all-time high heat index for all of Oklahoma with a recorded heat index of 126.19. This broke the record of 126.0 set in Pauls Valley on July 13th of this year. In Kansas, Russell tied a record of 103 set in 2001, Salina tied their record of 108 set in 1922, and Wichita broke their record of 105 set in 1986 with a temperature of 106. In south east Kansas, Chanute tied its 1912 record of 104. As the heat wave continues, more records could be broken.
