Kansas farmers are ahead of the national average when it comes to computer access.
According to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service, 85% of Kansas farms had access to computers in 2023. This is well above the national average of 69%. Nationwide, smartphone usage is more common than laptop or desktop use, with 82% of farms having smartphone access. In Kansas, 92% of farms had internet access, up 1% from the last time this data was collected in 2021.
