The Wilson County Clerk's office will be operating understaffed for the next few months.

 

County Clerk Kayla Busch was informed last week of an employee's two week notice, with the decision to return to school the reason. The county is entering tax season and is also in the middle of election season as well.

 

Busch says she'd prefer to wait to hire a replacement in the office.

 

The commissioners supported Busch's decision to delay the hiring process.

 

Additional items of business at this week's meeting was an offer from Emmanuel Mennonite Youth to pick up trash on Harper Road, which the commissioners approved. The meeting concluded with an executive session regarding non-elected personnel.
