Kansas State Research and Extension is offering a self-led online course for those with Type 2 diabetes called Dining with Diabetes.
The course will help diabetics, pre-diabetics, and family and caregivers of diabetics learn strategies to manage the disease through menu planning, carbohydrate counting, physical activity, portion control and label reading. Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes and affects more than 37 million Americans. The course begins on September 11 and the cost is $25. Enrollment is available online.
