More updates are coming to South Coffeyville Public Schools.
At its meeting last night, the school board voted to accept a bit from Musco Lighting for new lights at the football stadium. The total cost will be $164,500, to be paid through a lease-purchase agreement with Welch State Bank. Superintendent Daryl Pruter says the new lights will be a big improvement.
In other business, the board approved a $10,000 raise for Pruter, hired Tia Lamb as a school nurse, secretary, and part-time instructor and raised the price of school lunches from $3.15 to $3.25 for students and from $4.84 to $5 for adults. Pruter also shared updates on classroom improvements and board members toured the office space that was repaired after this summer's flood.
