As college students get to ready to head back to school or college for the first time it's important to keep their stuff protected. AAA Kansas Shawn Steward says some items might be covered by a parent's home insurance.

Steward says students should take an inventory of all the items they bring with them to college.  Steward says when it comes to the vehicle it's important to know where a nearby trusted repair facility is and to keep an emergency kit in the car.
