The excessive heat returns to the four state area.

 The National Weather Service in Wichita issues another heat advisory beginning at noon and lasting until 8pm for northeast Oklahoma and southwest Missouri and 9pm for southeast Kansas. Highs today will near 100 degrees with the heat index topping out between 105 and 110. Residents who work outside are advised to take extra precautions, wear light, loose-fitting clothing, drink plenty of water, and reschedule outdoor activities to the morning or evening hours to avoid the heat.
