Area Health Provider Receives Grant

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas receives an Early Childhood Development grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration.

Programs funded through the HRSA support people with low incomes, people with HIV, pregnant people, children, parents, rural communities, transplant patients, and the health workforce. HRSA recently announced the awarding of $30 million to 151 health centers, including CHC/SEK, for the expansion of early childhood development programs. CHC/SEK received the maximum award of $200,000. The Community Health Center provides quality health care to everyone regardless of their ability to pay and serves more than 50,000 children and adults in Crawford, Cherokee, Labette, Linn, Montgomery, Allen and Bourbon counties, and Ottawa County in Oklahoma.
