K-State President Diagnosed with Cancer

Kansas State University's president is sharing his cancer diagnosis with the public.

In a letter sent to the K-State community yesterday, President Richard Linton said that he's been diagnosed with throat and tongue cancer, which will require him to pursue daily treatments in Kansas City at the KU Cancer Center. Linton says he plans to stay engaged with the university but recognized he won't be able to be present in his usual capacity. Linton came to K-State in February of 2022.
