One Dead and One Injured in Four Vehicle Crash

 

One is dead and another is injured in a four-vehicle crash involving three semis in Craig County.

 

The fatality collision happened early Friday morning at around 1:00am on the Will Rogers Turnpike at mile marker 288. A 2020 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by 31-year-old Jerome Bienvenu, was traveling westbound on Will Rogers Turnpike and departed the roadway right entering a private parking lot. Bienvenu then ramped over a curb and left around 90 feet of skid marks before striking a 20218 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by 30-year-old Kamaldeep Singh, in the rear. Bienvenu continued traveling west and struck a 2016 Peterbilt Tractor, driven by 55-year-old Rafael Rojas, in the front passenger side and then struck a 2019 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by 40-year-old Levi Gerrish, before stopping.

 

Bienvenu was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercy EMS due to injuries sustained in the collision. Singh was transported by Mercy EMS to St. Francis Hospital in Vinita. He was treated and released. Both Rojas and Gerrish were not injured.
