Residents of Columbus should boil their water until further notice.

 The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a boil water advisory for the City of Columbus public water supply due to possible bacterial contamination. Residents should boil their water for one minute before drinking it or using it in food or use bottled water instead. You should also dispose of ice from trays and automatic ice makers. The water is safe for bathing.
