Voters in Parsons approve the extension of the public safety sales tax.

 Only six hundred and thirty eight votes were cast in the special election, but voters overwhelming agreed to keep the tax in place by a margin of 5 to 1. The vote allows the city of Parsons to ensure the police and fire departments are well maintained and fully staffed among other public safety issues.
