Skeletal remains found in Colorado are those of a former Joplin man, missing since 2021.
According to KSNF-TV, hikers in Colorado discovered the remains September 25th around Middle Mountain Road in Pagosa Springs.
The Pagosa Springs Police Department announced late last week that the remains were officially identified as 42-year-old Michael Kroll.
Authorities say Kroll was listed as a Joplin resident, but add that he had been in the Pagosa Springs area shortly before being reported missing October 19, 2021.
The investigation remains ongoing.
