A Seminole, Oklahoma couple is facing felony charges after being investigated for the death of a child. According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the child, whose age was not given, but was described as a toddler, was found near highway 99 as a result of a tip. Officers discovered the remains were burned.
Detectives then arrested 32-year-old Chad Jennings and his girlfriend 31-year-old, Katherine Penner, at the home, which was deemed a crime scene. Jennings is facing charges of first-degree murder, child abuse by injury, and desecration of a human corpse. Penner was charged with accessory to murder, child abuse, and desecration of a human corpse.
The Medical Examiner is determining the cause of death and the identity of the child. It has not been revealed if the suspects are related to the victim.
