The Coffeyville Aquatic Center has announced its new name after a contest was held earlier this year.
As they celebrate their 20th anniversary they have announced the new name as Big Hill Splash. A contest was held this spring where residents submitted name suggestions. There was over 70 different names submitted. Those were narrowed down to 5 for the public to vote on their favorite consisting of AquaVille, Big Hill Splash, Coffeyville Waterworks, Jerry Liebert Aquatic Center and SplashVille.
There were over 1,400 votes with Big Hill Splash receiving almost 600 votes. Three residents submitted the winning name, Jacob Enloe, Ashley Hudson and Gail Misch. Those three will receive a 2022 and 2023 season pass to the pool. City employee Amy Taylor designed the new logo.
