Coffeyville Municipal Light & Power has received national recognition for achieving exceptional electric reliability in 2021. The recognition comes from the American Public Power Association, a trade group that represents more than 2,000 not-for-profit, community-owned electric utilities. APPA helps electric utilities track power outage and restoration data.
CMLP provided their customers with a 99.9983% reliability rating and an average interruption duration of 8.388 minutes per year. Nationwide the average is 136 minutes or two hours and twenty-six minutes. Utilities Director Michael Shook says they are proud to once again receive this award as it further reflects the effort, dedication and commitment by staff to keep the lights on in Coffeyville and the surrounding area.
