Work on connecting a generator at the Nowata County Courthouse has been awarded to Holtz Electric in Bartlesville. The Nowata County Commissioners tabled the item last week after wanting to see a breakdown of the costs. Commissioner Burke LaRue says the proposal was for $78,000.

LaRue says he thinks the Cherokee Nation could have funds to help with the project. ARPA funds could also be used for this project. The county has already purchased a generator for around $4,000 but will play nearly 20 times that amount for installation.
