U.S. Senators Jerry Moran and Roger Marshall say a federal grant will help to expand stress-related and mental health services to Kansas farmers and ranchers.
Moran and Marshall say the $500,000 U.S. Department of Agriculture grant will help to build on the programs of the Kansas Department of Agriculture.
The expanded service will use the grant to create a statewide campaign to raise awareness for the KansasAgStress.org website, develop reusable media content and work to destigmatize the concept of mental health awareness while lowering suicides in the agriculture industry in Kansas.
