A Chanute man was arrested on a pair of drug possession charges.

Chanute officers responded to the lobby of the Police Department for an individual needing to speak with an officer. Upon arrival, officers started talking with the individual and he started acting very odd. The individual told officers that people in camouflage clothing were stalking him. Officers were granted permission to search his vehicle and his person. The individual had items associated with illegal drugs on him.

Officers arrested 57-year-old Billy Leon Key Jr. for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.
