Coffeyville Building Network that Supports 5G

The Coffeyville City Commission approved Bluebird Network to put in place a fiber-optic network that supports 5G in the city's right of ways.

Bluebird is paying the city $9,900 each year for the next 10 years and the agreement would then be available for renewal. The network, based out of Columbia, Missouri, will meet with the city's engineers so they will know how to go through the city.

City Manager Mark Hall said that Bluebird will take care of any issues that might arise in the project.

The proposal was approved unanimously by the city commission and there was no scheduled date on when the project would begin.
