A 54-year-old woman was killed in an accident over the weekend in Cherokee County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Pamela White of Columbus was driving a 2008 Dodge Nitro westbound on NW Bethlehem Road when her vehicle went airborne while crossing the railroad tracks. White's vehicle then re-entered the roadway before running off the road to the south and striking a tree.
White was pronounced dead at the scene. White was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.
