A 39-year-old woman was arrested in Caney on a warrant out of Chautauqua County.

Officers with Caney PD made contact with a Peru woman at Dollar General who was wanted in Chautauqua County on multiple Forgery charges. The woman was identified as Regina Palmer and she was arrested without incident and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail. Palmer faces multiple Forgery charges stemming from checks stolen from a residence in Caney being forged and passed in Chautauqua County.

The Caney Police Department assisted the Sedan Police Department with the investigation.
