Two arrests have been made in the armed robbery of Casey's General Store in Caney. Earlier this week a robbery was reported to the Caney Police Department. The store clerk says the suspect fled on foot and got into what she believed to be a getaway car. After Caney PD identified two suspects they discovered the suspects had attempted an armed robbery in Tyro, so they Montgomery County Sheriff's Office joined the investigation.

A search warrant was executed in the 600 block of East 5th St, where officers found items that linked the suspects to the crimes. Both suspects confessed to their involvement in both crimes. One suspect identified as 20 year old Kurtis Gruver was arrested, transported to the Montgomery County Jail and is facing charges of aggravated armed robbery and aggravated assault. The second suspect is a juvenile, who is in custody at a juvenile detention center and facing charges of aggravated armed robbery and aggravated assault.
