The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has held steady at $2.17, which is one cent less than a week ago, two cents less than a month ago and 47 cents lower than a year ago. Prices have held steady in Kansas as well.
According to AAA, Kansas prices currently sit at $1.96, the same as last week at the same time. Montgomery County is currently at $1.97 a gallon, while Labette County is five cents lower at $1.92 a gallon. Chautauqua County checked in with $1.96 a gallon.
Across the border in Oklahoma, the state average is $1.88. Washington County came in at $1.78 a gallon while Nowata County clocked in at $1.75 a gallon.
