The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a field survey on Tuesday, Aug. 11, for a proposed improvement that would add passing lanes to both sides of U.S. 400 in Cherokee County.
The location being surveyed starts about 4 miles east of the U.S. 400/K-7 junction and continues east for nearly 2½ miles. The survey length is approximately 400 feet on the existing highway alignment.
KDOT expects the survey to last one week, weather permitting.
