Due to concerns over the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the city of Independence will be closing City Hall to the public and all non-City employees until further notice.
Staff and city employees will still work during the shutdown and can be reached by phone or email. Utility payments can be made over the phone at 844-215-7377, online at the city's website, or dropped off at the city's two dropbox locations at 811 W Laurel Street or 120 N. 6th Street.
