Silent Sky by Pitt State Theatre

Pitt State Theatre will be presenting the play “Silent Sky” beginning this Thursday at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts.

This play is based on the true story of Henrietta Leavitt, who worked at the Harvard Observatory as one of the female “computers” who mapped and measured the stars. Even with little recognition, she had a profound influence on the field of astronomy. The play is written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Megan Westhoff.

Performances are scheduled for February 27th through March 1st. Shows begin at 7:30pm Thursday through Sunday with two additional matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
