Lost Cell Phone Leads to Arrest for Theft

 

An arrest was made in Labette County on Thursday afternoon after deputies discovered a cell phone left behind at the scene. 

 

Just before 2 p.m. on Thursday, Labette County Sheriff's Deputies were called to 26042 Irving Road for a burglary theft report. While taking the report, the deputies discovered a cell phone that did not belong to the owner of the property. Deputies found out that the cell phone belonged to 35-year old Karla Lassen.

 

Lassen was stopped on Clark Street, and deputies recovered stolen jewelry and numerous other items taken from the residence. Lassen was arrested for  burglary, theft and possession of a controlled substance. She is currently being held in the Labette County Jail.
