Work at the Independence Water Treatment Plant is expected to take another step forward when City Commissioner meet in a special session on Wednesday morning.

Commissioners will meet with a representative from Professional Engineering Consultants.  Last October, Commissioners requested some changes to the contract with PEC to complete Phase 2 of improvements at the Water Treatment Plant. 

Commissioners asked PEC to change the contract to add language for the contact basin work and utilize a local survey crew. 

PEC will be presenting those changes for approval by Commissioners Wednesday morning at 9:00 in the Veterans Room of Memorial Hall.
