Several bids approved at the Montgomery County Commission meeting. The first bid that was approved was for the Sheriff's Office to purchase two Dodge Durangos stocked with the radio equipment from Superior Serv in Andover, KS for just over $82,000. Bids were also approved for Public Works for a special bridge welder from Thompson Brothers, a special bridge sandblaster from Canfield and Joseph and an air compressor from Fastenal in Independence.

In other business the commissioners approved the neighborhood revitalization plan from the City of Independence which was presented by Interim City Manager Kelly Passauer.
