New Law Requires Escort Vehicle Drivers to be Registered

A new law has been passed by the Kansas Legislature and has been in effect since the first of the year. The new law requires escort vehicle companies and service providers working with wide or overweight vehicles to be registered with the Kansas Secretary of Transportation, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

Escort vehicle drivers must be registered, successfully complete a training course and have a valid driver's license.

Your registration will be valid for one year and there is no registration fee.

To register as an escort vehicle, visit the K-Trips website at www.k-trips.com and create a user account and then fill out the necessary information. To find out more information, contact 785-368-6501.
