Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

Law enforcement agencies around Kansas will be participating in a campaign targeted toward combating drinking and driving in the state. The "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign officially kicked off yesterday and will continue through the start of January 2020, with the Kansas Department of Transportation and several law agencies throughout the state participating.

The week after Christmas and the period around New Year's Day sees the most crashes in which one or more drivers are impaired by the use of alcohol, according to KDOT data. 250-300 drivers across the state are expected to be arrested for DUIs during the week following Christmas.
