Kansas Expanding Program to Reduce Wait at DMV

Soon, a trip to the DMV could be easier than ever before. Kansas is allowing some residents to schedule appointments ahead of time to skip the wait commonly associated with the office. The "Q-Flow" program uses a website to allow people to make appointments up to 30 days in advance. After early testing, state officials have said the wait time is less than 15 minutes for 95% of those who had made an appointment.

The expanded program was unveiled just in time for the holidays. Offices such as the DMV and others often see increased activity while schools are out.

While the expanded program has not reached Montgomery County yet, it is still available in cities such as Lawrence and Wichita at this time.
