The City of Parsons has appointed Kenny Ward as its new Fire Chief.

Ward comes to Parsons with more than 30 years of experience including time as the Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director of the City of Greenville’s Fire Department and also as the Fire Chief of the City of Altus Fire -Rescue Department. Ward most recently resided in Sand Springs, Oklahoma where he was the Environmental Health and Safety Director for two Midwest construction companies over the past several years. He has also served in several fire training instructor roles including OSHA Outreach instructor and an instructor at Firefighter Level I and II, Oklahoma Fire Service Training.

Current Fire Chief Jay Hawk will retire effective December 23, 2019.
