How Kansas, Oklahoma Compare in Holiday Crime Rate

The Holiday season is a time for friends and family to spend together and spread Christmas cheer. It's also a time for criminals to take advantage with the increase in shopping and cash flow for most consumers.

Alarms.org has released its Holiday Crime Report that details the states most (and least) affected by crime during the holiday season.

The report contains variables to calculate a crime score in an attempt to advise homeowners of the potential incidents that tend to occur more during the ladder end of the year.

Kansas is ranked 27th while Oklahoma and Missouri are ranked 25th and 29th respectively.

The five worst states from holiday crime are Florida, New Mexico, Louisiana, Texas and Utah. The five states that deal with the least amount of holiday crime are Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota and New Jersey.
