City's Finest Honored at the Coffeyville Commission Meeting

It's always amazing to hear stories of bravery with those who work so closely in the community. That was the case at Tuesday night's Coffeyville Commission Meeting that took place at City Hall.

In special presentations on the agenda, multiple firefighters and a police officer were honored with awards of Water Rescue and Lifesaving.

Coffeyville Fire Chief Billy Cockman acknowledges those involved in the multiple water rescue efforts.

Cockman addresses the commission and describes that day with multiple water rescues.

The other special presentation involved Coffeyville Police Officer Terrance Gaston in a lifesaving experience involving an infant. Cockman and Police Chief Kwin Bromley were both involved in presenting this award to Gaston.

In other special presentations from the meeting on Tuesday night, the Coffeyville Police Department swore in new Officer Michael Burroughs.

The City of Coffeyville City Commission meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at City Hall. More information can be found on their website at Coffeyville.com.
