The Coffeyville Community College Lady Ravens Volleyball Team left Tuesday morning to head to the National Championship Tournament in Charleston, West Virginia. The Lady Ravens are the two-time defending national champions and are 39 – 2 overall this season and the number two seed in the field.
Head Coach Delice Downing says winning a third national championship in a row would be an unprecedented feat. Downing added that the team is well prepared heading into the tournament.
The Lady Ravens will begin play in the tournament Thursday morning at 10:00 local time when they play #15 Montgomery, Maryland. If they win, they will play again Thursday afternoon at 4:30 local time against the winner of #7 Northeast Nebraska vs. #10 Grand Rapids, Michigan.
