The Independence City Commission will meet in regular session on Thursday. Other than the consent agenda, the current agenda includes a potential agreement with KDOT for some pavement replacement work. Also included in that agreement would be curb and gutter, sidewalk and pavement markings on US-160 from 200 feet east of US-75 to the 8th Street Intersection. 

In addition, commissioners will discuss bids received for the purchase of two sanitation trucks for the city. A full copy of the agenda can be viewed here. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Veterans Room at Memorial Hall.
