A search warrant led to Cherokee County Sheriff's Detectives recovering a significant amount of stolen property in Galena on Friday. A joint investigation by the Galena Police Department and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department eventually led to the obtaining of a search warrant to investigate a home in rural Galena. When investigators got to the home, they found and recovered property that had been reported stolen as part of a mid-October burglary at another residence just outside of Galena.

Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves said the case was an excellent display of different departments working together. He said arrest warrants will be issued as the investigation continues.
