The previously postponed improvements to Peter Pan Road in Independence are now scheduled to begin the week of November 11th. The roadway will be closed north of the southern entrance to Labette Health. The roadway is scheduled to be closed for a minimum of three months to widen the roadway, install storm sewer and replace the surface with concrete pavement.

The improvements were originally supposed to begin in late October, but were pushed back after numerous concerns over Neewollah traffic and accessibility.
