For the second time in as many years voters in the Coffeyville School District have rejected a bond issue.  In the two part bond issue on Tuesday’s ballot voters defeated Question 1, a $19.8 million bond for renovation and construction at the Early Learning Center, Community Elementary, Roosevelt Middle School and Field Kindley High School by a vote of 1,244 against and 813 for the bond. 

The second question, a $3.8 million bond for renovations at the high school and middle school including construction of a storm shelter could only be passed id Question 1 passed, however, it too was defeated 1,165 - 880.
