Five of the seven candidates for the Coffeyville City Commission participated in a candidates forum held Thursday evening at the Windsor Events Center. Justin Doane, Don Edwards, Tracy Maxson, Jim Taylor, Sr. and Robert York discussed a variety of topics including housing, taxes, the city budget, declining population and growth.
Rudy Draper was expected to attend the forum but did not appear and Jim Taylor, Jr. had a previous business appointment out of town and was unable to attend. The forum was sponsored by KGGF, the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce and Eck Heat and Air.
A forum with candidates for the USD 445 Board of Education and the Coffeyville Community College Trustees will be held next Tuesday, October 29th at 6pm at the Windsor Events Center.
