An area principal has been recognized by the Kansas Association of Secondary School Principals. Travis Stalford, the lead principal at Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, has been named by the KASSP as the Area II Principal of the Year. 

Stalford returned to Coffeyville in 2013, and became the lead principal of the high school after serving two years as the assistant principal.
