An area Boy Scout has chosen to collect old eyeglasses for his Eagle Scout project. Zachary Lowrance of Troop 47 in Coffeyville will be directing the collection of old, unneeded eyeglasses for recycling purposes. On October 19, starting around 9:30 a.m, scounts under Lowrance will be canvassing on Third, Fourth, and Fifth Streets from Buckeye Street to Willow Street.

For those outside of the canvassing area, there will be collection boxes available at the First Christian Church, Holy Name Catholic Church, the First United Methodist Church, and the office here at KGGF. 

The eyeglasses collected will be donated to the Daylight Defenders Lion's Club.
